O tânără femeie și familia ei

see more here: a documentary about lynx Take an extraordinary look at the elegant but feisty lynx. At home in the Bohemian Forest and Bavarian Forest, the lynx roam the wild surroundings, hunting and playing. Breathtaking 4K film footage shows lynxes up close in their natural environment. 0:06 a rare Hunter reappears in the Bohemian Forest 0:11 [Music] 0:19 for over a hundred years he had disappeared 0:26 but now he is very much a force to be reckoned with 0:31 there is an ample selection of prey [Music] 0:39 and room to the children to play 0:47 the European Lynx is on top of things again even if not every attempt succeeds 0:54 better luck next time [Music] 1:18 for five long months the Bohemian Forest lies under blanket of snow a meter thick 1:24 it is one of the coldest regions in Central Europe located at the transition from a 1:29 maritime to a continental climate it is often reached by clouds from the Atlantic 1:40 the moisture they bring crystallizes in the early morning cold to create 1:45 wonderful shapes [Music] 2:04 almost every day an ice cold wind whistles over the plateaus [Music] 2:25 the handsome Lynx male does not feel the cold thanks to his dense protective fur 2:30 coat [Music] every day he patrols his territory 2:38 [Music] 2:46 are there any other males around is there a female nearby 2:52 [Music] 3:01 he leaves a spurt of urine to show others that this is his territory 3:09 the crisp snow it's not easy to hunt silently even if one has such large soft 3:14 pores 3:25 but his potential prey has the same problem [Music] 3:33 isn't a Pine Mountain for nothing 3:38 [Music] 3:54 up in the slim branches he has nothing to fear from a 25 kilo predator 4:04 the hunter would have no problem on the trunk but he wouldn't stand a chance of 4:10 catching the agile lightweight 4:15 a male links his territory can cover several hundred square kilometers depending on the food supply 4:24 to partially overlaps that of a female mix [Music] 4:29 these two have already mated and are now carefully avoiding each other again 4:39 but the female is not alone [Music] her children from last year's litter are 4:46 waiting for her [Music] 4:53 the sibling's relationship is still harmonious and that will not change until they 4:59 become sexually mature 5:08 the mother links still regularly visits her young brood 5:22 they're inquisitive has mum brought something nice with her 5:27 [Music] 5:37 a typical cat-like greeting [Music] 5:44 the links has not made a new kill but knows where she hid the remains of the last one every two to three days she has 5:51 to have a successful hunt otherwise she and her grown children will go hungry 6:02 Linksys are pure carnivores and make no exceptions 6:16 foreign after dinner they are after all a cat's 6:22 most important tools Forest extends across the border for 120 6:30 kilometers along the border between the Czech Republic and Bavaria some of the valleys are 6:35 hardly accessible to humans [Music] 6:45 we have space for large predators [Music] 6:52 in contrast to the lynxes it were reintroduced into the wild the wolves have bound their own way here since the 6:59 1980s they've often been cited on the check side 7:08 in 2017 a pack of wolves produced their first Young on the German side in the 7:15 Bavarian Forest National Park 7:21 after the hunt the pack made up of parents and their young from the last two years come together at the resting 7:29 place the two-year-old youngsters will soon 7:34 break away and look for a territory and a partner elsewhere 7:40 [Music] [Applause] [Music] 7:55 the Thor does not set in until May thank you 8:07 now the stage is set for the black Grouse to make their entrance 8:13 [Music] the aim is to impress the females 8:23 in springtime every year the main black Grouse meet at that traditional leg in 8:28 the white benefits the largest Wetland area in the Bohemian Forest 8:34 this is where they fight for Supremacy most of it is only show they will seldom 8:40 injure each other 8:49 the older and stronger a male is the closer his territory will be to the center of the lab and he will defend it 8:56 fiercely 9:10 the females watch the spectacle disdainfully at first and then respond to the strongest males 9:21 foreign [Music] 9:31 every morning the wooden enemies reach up towards the sun these early Bloomers 9:36 have to make the most of the time available soon the leafy canopy of the trees will stop the light reaching the 9:42 ground [Music] for many foods now becomes more 9:49 plentiful but not necessarily for all squirrels are particularly fond of such 9:56 seed Delicacies as acorns and beech nuts but they will have to wait a long time for those and most of the birds whose 10:03 nests they will often raid have no young yet so they make use of their numerous 10:09 stocks they hid in the autumn since they often forget some of these 10:16 they unwittingly provide new tree growth which is the food source for their own 10:21 offspring [Music] 10:28 spring is the time for blossoms and baby animals [Music] 10:36 in a wild boar Sounder with a well-functioning social network the cells will give birth at almost the same 10:43 time in Spring [Music] 10:49 the newborn squeakers form kindergartens and to not only play with their own siblings play fighting is particularly 10:57 popular This Is How They safely practice what will later be serious fighting for 11:03 the best sounds the [Music] 11:11 speakers appear to be highly noticeable through their stripes but in the woods they are perfectly camouflaged among the 11:18 vegetation the mother suckles her young for up to 11:25 10 weeks but after only three weeks they will start to dig up Roots Seeds and fungi 11:38 oh a hierarchy develops quickly among the squeakers and each has its own teeth a 11:46 bit awkward if someone's in the way 11:51 countless streams flow through the Bohemian Forest including the saw stream of the famous flatava river now in 11:59 Spring they are abundantly fed by melt water for the female links water is only for 12:06 drinking as a typical cat she will not voluntarily go in although she can swim quite well 12:18 did she hear something with her conspicuous tufted ears the female Lynx has excellent hearing 12:26 whether the Tufts of hair actually contribute to this however is still her Secret 12:33 she has moved away from her Young and is looking for a suitable hiding place where she can give birth to her 12:39 next offspring [Music] 12:49 this might work [Music] 13:03 others have already got their family together this fox Cub left the burrow for the 13:09 first time a few days ago everything's totally new to him 13:20 the others do not dare to go so far yet very early on young foxes developed 13:26 their own individual characters [Music] 13:32 great care that no parasites take up residence in her little one's fur but there are evidently some in the fox 13:38 family that don't like the idea of washing too much 13:45 with her six Cubs the mother certainly has her pose for 13:55 [Music] she's obviously well able to exert her Authority and the next please 14:08 a little closer to the borough would be safer although the fox Club is already too big for the Boreal Arrow 14:17 The Little Owl has chosen a vacant black Woodpecker's nesting chamber to rear its 14:22 young as with most owls the chicks hatch at intervals of some days so they are 14:27 now of different sizes foreign 14:35 ERS keep in contact with each other by calling 14:53 as long as the chicks are still young both Partners take care of The Offspring 15:04 the female however often hunts only for herself whilst the father makes sure the chicks 15:11 are fed [Music] 15:22 how many eggs the female owl will lay depends on how well fed she is this must 15:28 have been a moderately Good mousing Year if she has four chicks members of the ball family make up over 15:36 50 percent of their food small birds like here are more rarely Hunted 15:44 mice can find plenty of hiding places in the Bohemian Forest but they must always 15:50 be on that guard [Music] the mother links can hear a mouse from 15:55 15 meters away [Music] 16:08 [Music] 16:14 [Music] 16:26 almost nothing escapes these eyes 16:33 [Applause] [Music] 16:38 thank you for a grown links a mouse is just a 16:46 snack normally the motherlinks will be hunting larger prey like roe deer or 16:52 Young Red Deer but at the moment every bite counts 16:57 because she has a few exhausting hours ahead of her 17:04 [Music] 17:10 for the birth of her young the lynx has moved into the cave that she selected a few days ago 17:17 [Music] the birth is a painful process for her 17:24 too but the only sign of this is that she licks her lips 17:33 [Music] the mother immediately massages the 17:39 newborn with her tongue to initiate breathing [Music] 17:47 and then the second one arrives but that's all 17:53 our mother links can only raise more than three kittens with considerable difficulty she is on her own 18:00 the fatherlinks does not participate in family life [Music] one floor up and some other cave 18:08 children are already significantly further in their development 18:14 but dad's hotel is very comfortable 18:20 suddenly there's no stopping the young spotted woodpecker 18:30 in the first days of the lynx baby's life the mother rarely leaves the cave 18:36 but hunger sometimes gets the better of her [Music] 18:41 the kittens can neither see nor hear but they can feel they can sense the 18:48 proximity of their sibling very well when the mother's not there they have to warm each other 18:57 [Music] [Applause] 19:02 [Music] 19:08 the gray owl chicks are now fledglings they will not change their dark plumage 19:14 until the late summer when they will look like their parents for some time the father will care for 19:21 them the female has left the family and is perhaps starting another brood with 19:27 another partner after a short time the female Lynx 19:35 returns from her hunt [Music] 19:46 the kittens spend most of the time sleeping but their mother sent wakes them up 19:54 time for some help perhaps [Music] 20:08 the lynx's cave is not far away from koenigsville the most extensive Moorland 20:15 Lake in the Bohemian Forest it covers over one hectare and is famous for its 20:20 floating matte Islands thank you 20:28 this is home to a very special Hunter foreign 20:34 [Music] 20:43 at a moment's notice 20:50 its tentacle lines leaves are deadly traps [Music] 20:56 attracted by the sugary shimmering secretion that looks like Jew insects 21:01 are caught on the sticky tentacles and the trap snapshot 21:07 [Music] 21:13 the secretion of carnivorous plants contains digestive enzymes in a few 21:19 hours only the empty exoskeleton of the victims will remain 21:27 thanks to the numerous Rocky outcrops that provide shelter and protection the Bohemian Forest is also home to the 21:35 lynx's smaller cousin the wildcat 21:41 as a precaution the Tony owl keeps an eye on it although that little Hunter 21:46 cannot really harm her [Music] 21:54 during the day the Wildcat hunts the same prey as the owl at night mice 22:01 the fact that the cautious cat hunts in an Open Meadow shows that she feels safe 22:06 in the sparsely populated woods and Meadows [Music] 22:19 of course one Mouse is not enough for her she has to catch up to 10 a day to 22:25 satisfy her hunger [Music] like the links the Wildcat stalks its 22:32 prey and then attacks it from an ambush position it only hunts animals that are noticeably smaller than itself 22:42 in the Bohemian Forest the Wildcat has little to fear from its worst enemy 22:47 humans and always finds plenty to hit in its hunting ground [Music] 22:59 all right wherever it feels safe it prefers to 23:06 hunt during the day which means it keeps clear of walls and lynxes they are a 23:12 serious source of danger [Music] the links would have no difficulty 23:20 stalking unnoticed in the dense cover of the forest 23:27 the larger cat usually hunts during Dusk and at night but if she has young that 23:32 need regular warming and feeding that is often not enough she will resort to more 23:38 unusual ways if her fine senses indicate a potential source of food the 23:43 dormouse's choice of an old Woodpecker's Nest was a wise one [Music] 23:53 oh the lynx cannot get its core in there 23:59 and the little mouse can curl up and go back to sleep 24:06 [Music] the lynx babies are now two and a half 24:12 weeks old and can see and hear [Music] 24:19 like their parents they are descendants of the animals that were resettled in the Bohemian Forest in the 1970s and 80s 24:27 [Music] 24:39 the lynx was wiped out a long time ago in Europe it managed to hold out longest in the Bohemian Forest until the second 24:45 half of the 19th century then the last of them was eradicated there as well 24:52 ends while able to put up a find 25:01 and that's young rhinoc is no alternative either too much hard work 25:14 rather than go hungry the lynx settles for the ants 25:25 [Music] 25:31 a week later and the kittens still relish the warmth of each other's bodies 25:37 foreign [Music] 25:45 still rules and the brother's main purpose in life is as a cuddly teddy 25:53 [Music] 25:59 in the cunningsfield's Moorland temperatures indicate we are in early summer 26:07 the dragonflies are in their usual yin and yang mating position this is the 26:12 only way they can mate because the sexual organs of the females and males are in completely different places 26:22 others are already laying the fertilized eggs 26:43 the most important task of their lives has now been accomplished as adults they 26:48 will normally only live a few weeks The Offspring will now develop slowly 26:54 over several years in the water before finally coming onto the land and hatching out of their larval skin 27:06 at the age of about five weeks the lynx kittens are developing and extending 27:12 their playful activities [Music] 27:25 an important change is due to happen soon 27:30 [Music] they are about to see the Great Wide World for the first time 27:38 [Music] very wobbly and both curious and afraid 27:46 it's good to be near the mother [Music] this kitten has made a surprising 27:53 discovery there are other animals and just lynxes 28:00 even though this neighbor poses no danger to her Young the links plays it safe and fetches The 28:06 Adventurous kittens back before they wander too far away [Music] 28:19 typical of kittens this one immediately goes into dorsal immability mode this 28:25 behavior is innate and prevents the baby from injury from his mother's teeth if he moved 28:30 [Music] 28:43 stay here there's just so much to discover [Music] 28:53 the lynx sharpens its claws on rough surfaces the same as domestic cats 28:58 when hunting the poles must be able to grab and hold 29:05 the Bohemian Forest with its numerous Lakes is home to many species of game ideal for a cautious Hunter like the 29:12 lynx that prefers not to hunt in the open this dough has become separated from the 29:19 herd and could become the next victim after roe deer Red Deer and the most 29:25 common prey of the lynx on the other hand a lynx is reluctant to 29:33 take on badges because despite being smaller and their awkward appearance they are very aggressive 29:41 the Badgers young too are exploring outside the borough or set 29:46 [Music] extensions are a constant worry Badger 29:53 sets are often extremely extensive and serve the animals for many generations as dwellings 30:00 [Music] 30:07 in the meantime the Wildcat has become a mother too [Music] 30:21 hello what's that [Music] 30:29 just a hummus insect foreign 30:37 cats like to settle near streams or Rivers so they never have far to go to 30:42 have a drink [Applause] 30:51 [Music] just two weeks old and the little 30:58 kittens feel insecure when their mother is away [Music] 31:06 stay out in the forest for long but just like the links she has to take care of herself every now and then 31:17 the baby Tony Al could indeed be at her mercy 31:22 and he has in fact been discovered albeit by a rather different Hunter 31:29 [Music] 31:36 the outlet now demonstrates one of his skills 31:44 [Music] 31:53 this is a spectacle the one does not see every day [Music] 31:59 the outlets cannot fly yet but to make up for that he's a very capable climber 32:08 tough luck for the baby links [Music] 32:16 one might be forgiven for thinking the outlet is saying serves you right 32:27 so what I wasn't really interested anyway 32:43 the motherlinks will suckle her babies for two or three months which ensures that they develop well 32:50 they're now seven weeks old [Music] 33:03 on the German side in the Bavarian Forest lies 33:09 the unique Natural Oasis in a mountainous region 33:18 [Music] 33:24 one particular inhabitant frequently leaves his unmistakable trademark here 33:31 [Music] the beaver a beaver's teeth are sharp 33:37 and grow continuously and it will chisel away at the trunk until the tree falls this one has managed a lot in the past 33:45 months with the branches the beaver builds its Lodge the entrance of which is always 33:51 underwater this means it can come and go unseen [Music] 34:00 water is the beaver's home and its body is ideally adapted to it 34:06 its flat scaly tail was at one time almost its undoing the Catholic Church 34:12 declared the beaver to be a fish which meant it could be eaten during late 34:19 [Music] foreign 34:27 200 years ago this large rodent was considered the King of fur animals it 34:34 has no less than 23 000 hairs per square centimeter so the fur is denser than 34:40 most at the beginning of the 19th century 500 000 Beaver skins were sold in London 34:46 alone every year as a result beavers had disappeared in many places by the early 34:52 1990s 34:58 is a pure vegetarian as long as it finds green it doesn't 35:04 have to cut down trees it only creates rafts from branches and small tree trunks in the winter and then 35:10 lives off the bat 35:19 [Applause] it also builds dams with branches and twigs to keep the water level constant 35:27 beavers only feel really safe in the water 35:35 beavers live in family groups parents with their young going back several years 35:42 foreign the ancestors of these animals either 35:49 came from the Czech Republic to the abazi lake or by the Danube and Reagan Rivers as descendants of beavers 35:56 resettled on the Danube 36:05 they spread out as the juveniles move away as they are sexually mature they set off 36:12 to look elsewhere for a territory and a partner [Music] 36:23 foreign [Music] 36:32 if the neighboring Beaver territories are occupied they will cover considerable distances 36:39 in this way this large rodent is in the process of reconquering large parts of 36:44 Germany [Music] 36:54 beavers are monogamous stay faithful to each other throughout their lives and 36:59 have a tender relationship to each other [Music] 37:07 [Applause] this juvenile tends to keep it a 37:12 distance and will soon go off into the Big Wide World [Music] 37:19 the floating mat in this lake has no link to the bottom of the lake but is 37:24 attached to the land if it is not removed like it was at the end of the 19th century the abase Lake will at some 37:32 point Disappear Completely under the mat there has been a decisive change in the 37:38 lynx family lifestyle now three months old the lynx babies have 37:43 taste for meat 37:49 they even begrudge their mother her share and Gobble up as much as possible 37:54 who knows when the next meal will be [Music] 38:00 just a little further away and the lynx family can no longer be seen 38:06 rocks and Deadwood provide hiding places that are completely missing in 38:11 monocultures even the extensive Badger family can go 38:16 about their business unnoticed unless they give themselves away [Music] 38:25 the youngsters have grown considerably and are always ready for some Rough and Tumble 38:31 [Music] 38:39 Badger sets are frequently home to several related families peacefully 38:44 living together real multi-generational homes 38:51 [Music] 39:01 in the summer the best thing to do at lunchtime is have a nap 39:12 but a real-world ball will find something much better 39:18 a mud's bath [Music] 39:24 [Applause] there are good reasons for balls to 39:30 wallow in moist mud due to their thick layers of fat and coarse hair they can 39:36 quickly overheat and have to take remedial action in time the mud bath also helps to remove parasites 39:45 [Music] 39:54 good [Music] when the mud dries and drops off it will 40:02 take many a parasites with it [Music] 40:11 the main thing though is to be as happy as a pig in mug 40:16 [Music] 40:34 this small Woodland inhabitant plays a crucial role foreign 40:45 and its relatives this whole scene would be Barren 40:54 despite cleaning itself the Bumblebee has already carried sufficient pollen 40:59 from plant to plant [Music] 41:08 fortunately the best known bees the honeybees do not have to do all the work 41:13 in Germany there are over 560 bee species and about 40 bumblebee species 41:25 clamping mechanism of the Delphinium has one simple purpose to apply pollen to 41:31 the insect as it as it sucks the nectar 41:38 originally almost the entire area of the Border mountains was forested most bees 41:45 and butterflies could not have lived there [Music] 41:51 during cultivation the ancient forests were cleared but today these Open Spaces 41:58 fulfill an important ecological function and have enriched the region with many 42:03 species [Music] foreign 42:10 Wildcat also loves the variation between dense forest and Open Meadow 42:18 her offspring are now eight weeks old and very playful 42:24 in comparison with Lynx kittens baby wild cats develop relatively fast 42:32 [Music] they stay with their mother until they 42:39 are at least five months old foreign 42:50 [Music] Wildcat family shows the natural habitat 42:56 in the Bohemian Forest is still relatively intact here the Wildcat mother can raise her children in safety 43:04 [Music] 43:10 in many places wild cats have disappeared because they cannot COPE in 43:16 purely cultural landscapes and human settlements foreign 43:21 [Music] has been able to develop undisturbed 43:27 mainly because during the Cold War the Iron Curtain passed through today's 43:33 national park [Music] 43:51 in places where Deadwood is left alone fungi have the opportunity to develop 43:58 [Music] 44:05 to neither animals nor plants are hidden in Early Autumn however the mushrooms 44:11 and toadstools appear within a few days [Music] 44:23 then they release their spores sometimes faster than you expect 44:30 [Music] the key word in the forest now is 44:36 reproduction 44:42 by contrast most of the animals nurseries have now been abandoned 44:49 [Music] juvenile Linksys from last year are still keeping together in the meantime 44:55 they have learned to take care of themselves and they no longer see their mother the male Boreal owl has fulfilled 45:02 his paternal Duty and can take care of himself [Music] 45:10 these three siblings will not stay together for much longer [Music] 45:18 please [Music] 45:30 male cats are sexually mature after 36 months females somewhat earlier this is 45:37 when the animals will separate to lead their own independent lives perhaps they 45:42 will find territories in the Bohemian Forest perhaps they will migrate into other regions like many others before 45:49 them [Music] 45:58 quiet times have arrived for the Wolves 46:05 this year's youngsters are already grown and almost independent 46:10 but will stay with their parents for more than a year to help raise the pups next spring 46:19 there is already no visible difference between them and their parents [Music] 46:32 the forest provides an ideal breeding ground for fungi they cannot 46:37 photosynthesize like plants but must like animals absorb nutrients from the 46:43 soil dead wood and living organisms [Music] 46:52 even fungi have their enemies the great red slugs make inroads into them a knot 46:58 at a snail's pace either in the Bohemian Forest this rare slug 47:06 still has a chance against its almost identical competitor the Spanish slug 47:12 which is spreading almost everywhere on arable land [Music] 47:19 but there is no let up for the bankfall 47:26 [Music] even at higher levels it's not safe from 47:34 the links [Music] 47:45 [Music] this time though the Predator is left 47:50 empty-handed 47:59 now Autumn is in full swing [Music] 48:09 the streams filled with Rainwater and bring a magical touch to the forest 48:15 with numerous waterfalls 48:23 [Music] 48:37 the lynx youngsters have made good progress they are now six months 48:43 and are practicing creeping and sprinting 48:48 [Music] their mother is now able to disappear 48:54 for longer periods and take care of her own well-being [Music] 49:09 however the youngsters are still really children playful and inexperienced 49:18 [Music] 49:25 year with their mother [Music] 49:31 they have a lot to learn before they're as smart as she is [Music] 49:40 at some point however they will leave on their silent pause and Conquer their own 49:45 territory somewhere in the Bohemian Forest in this vast Forest of the lynxes 49:52 [Music]
